What programming language did you start with?
VB.net
Why did you choose that language?
When I was in grade school my two brothers were taking Information Technology and Computer Science. They were teaching me the programming basics until programming became my fashion.
Where are you at with that language?
Professional Level. Now, I already sold some of my programs. And currently working on new ones.
How beneficial has that language been to you?
It helps me understand C++ and JAVA easily.
Extra Notes
Make programming as your passion. Think out of the box. Sometimes, the problem is the solution itself in programming world.

Lmao I'm still in college and I hope my response can help you with whatever it is
What programming language did you start with?
C++
Why did you choose that language?
It was part of the school's curriculum so I had no choice.
Where are you at with that language?
Entry to a little above entry since I didn't really like it and I just decided to try and focus on other languages
How beneficial has that language been to you?
Honestly, as a college student who doesn't really go out into the industry to freelance and stuff like that, C++ is kinda useless. It might be useful when you're in the profession itself but as a lazy student, it doesn't really help with anything.
Extra Notes
I'm actually more well-versed in Java than I am in C++ and I can say that Java is indeed a step up from C++ but I'd recommend that you learn the basics from C++ and when you reach to the point of OOP, start with Java until you can use some Java frameworks. It really helps since it makes it easier to transition from one language to another. I'm trying to focus on python but I'm still lazy but I'm planning to push my limits with python soon enough for my thesis lmao

Having a background in VB.Net really helped me when I was learning C# .It has also made me some money.
That sounds interesting, I have never heard of that to be honest. I will search into it, thanks for responding .

I have heard lots mention starting with C++ to help guide with other languages. Makes me consider checking it out but I heard it wasn't too easy to understand. It's on my list of what i'm looking at going at although!

This was a GREAT response! Thank you. I have to research on this language, haven't seen or heard of it. But if it helps me understand C++ and Java, it might be worth while. I have many creative ideas and I really want to get into enjoying programming. If you happen to see this message, may I ask how many years you spent before obtaining a professional level?
