Hey guys, I've been looking at getting into programming and learning the various aspects in which I would need to do so. I've searched this up and seen other post, but it doesn't seem like there is a definite answer. Obviously there are countless languages existent, but in this post I won't be asking what language should I start with. But I'm rather going to ask people these questions (Please respond in same format):

---

What programming language did you start with?

Why did you choose that language?

Where are you at with that language?

How beneficial has that language been to you?

Extra Notes

---

As said, my idea is to explore the different path's people have chosen and how their chosen language was implemented. Looking to begin my journey amongst code starting the new year, and setting goals for myself to keep climbing. I just want to stick with a path for now and see how I do. I have knowledge on python, and have been just starting java. Plan to keep going with those 2, but I am open to more. We'll see where this goes, please respect other people's choice. Thanks! :D

What programming language did you start with?

C++

Why did you choose that language?

I was rather forced into it for school but I thrived in it.

Where are you at with that language?

Professional level, I try to utilize the language in a lot of my personal projects and want to mainly use it once I get in the workplace.

How beneficial has that language been to you?

Working and dealing with memory is a pain in the ass but its definitely made a better programmer.

Great response bro. Will have to look into C++. I have friends talking to me about it but I never really went into looking at it, numerous reports about it being very complex though.

What programming language did you start with?

Java

Why did you choose that language?

I play a lot of minecraft and wanted to make plugins for it.

Where are you at with that language?

Personal use mostly, however i have sold some code in the past.

How beneficial has that language been to you?

Having a background in Java really helped me when I was learned C++ in class. It has also made me some money.

That is actually cool. I remember wanting to learn how to make plugins, but I was way too young to even interest having to go through all that haha. I am currently learning java and just bought a book for it. Hope that works out.

Thanks for replying. I interest mobile app development, I've heard of Dart trending and I've heard flutter before. I got to check those out. Good stuff.
