I've usually been using around 90-150 threads when it comes to checking proxies, or even trying to get hits in the runner. Today, I lowered the threads in the proxy checker to 75, and I realized that my alive count went up, and the CPM although low, was getting hits. Is this just a coincidence with the proxies and combo's I'm using, or this because I'm giving it less stress or whatever it may be?

It might come down to Home internet speed, when youre doing too much it can't keep up, you end up loosing captures normally as i dont think it can read it fast enough to extract the data.
Could be config too, or cookies etc.

I think I'm gonna continue to use it with a lower thread count to see if there's quite an obvious difference from before. Proxycheckers from other programs are collecting alive more than usual with that thread count aswell.

Yes there is a relationship as MrFantastik mentioned if your connection cant handle it you will have issues. I never use home connection I always use RDP for best cracking setup. Never have issues with connection speed or losing hits
