So I've ordered 1 item from zalando and It's arrived and I didn't need to sign the parcel, so what do I do now? say the package is empty? since hermes tracks all their packages

Personally I'd have ordered a few items and some throwaway ones and do a partial refund. You could do empty box, wouldn't recommend DNA for small order.

Is it normal for zalando employees to ask for a photo id ? "So I can get this sorted for you as soon as possible, all I need you to do is complete the attached legally binding statement and send this to me alongside a copy of your valid photo ID"
