I've used Opera, Firefox, and Brave each for 1 - 2+ years.
- Opera has more "productivity" features such as a VPN and other things like video popout for youtube and other stuff (pretty handy). It's also got built in ad block and Opera supports the latest HTML5 standards more than the other browsers. Probably one of my favorite browsers, although chromium based.
- Firefox has more focus on your privacy. They definitely do their job pretty well. Also the gecko engine makes Firefox fluid and speedy. I haven't had many problems with it at all. Again, probably a favorite browser of mine
- Brave is different because not only does it focus on your privacy, but it has extensive privacy features such as TOR being built into it. It's chromium based but it's pretty fast, none of the bloat that google chrome has, all with chrome extensions and customized UI/UX (looks really nice). Brave also has a built-in ad blocker similar to Opera but it's called a "shield". Not only does it block ads but it blocks trackers and such. Very handy.
Overall, I'd go with Firefox or Brave, and maybe Opera as a backup or to put on a backup flash drive for whenever you need it on a different device
It's really up to preference there really is no ABSOLUTE BEST BROWSER unless of course you're talking about Brave
