This is a very similar question to this thread
Profit can still be good but it depends on a few variables:
BTC mining is only profitable if either ( A ) You have free electricity ( B ) You have a high end ASIC e.g. the latest Antminer
However you can mine other crypto using CPU(s) and / or GPU(s) and get paid in BTC using a platform such as NiceHash
(there any many other options but this is very noob friendly and they have reasonable rates ).
If you want to check ROI they have a pretty good calculator as well
"A friend should always underestimate your virtues and an enemy overestimate your faults."
You'd be wasting resources and money on electricity for nothing. You're better off cloud mining or buying a mining hardware like Antminer etc.
Cloud mining = scam
"A friend should always underestimate your virtues and an enemy overestimate your faults."
Don't waste your time trying to mine bitcoin unless you're feeling lucky. If you are, grab an old USB Blockerupter / Gekko or some other ASIC, stick it in a constantly running raspberry pi and hope that someday it hits a block while solo mining.
