You paid 400€ for back-end integration. (Already completed)

Do you have screenshots or recordings of all the exact UI requirements you sent to the developers?

I am a full stack web engineer and I can understand both sides of the story here, what's a bit surprising to me is that the developers didn't notice your intention to have an amazing frontend despite it being so pronounced, in which case it might be the developers trying to muddy the waters and deliver a bad quality product for generally, a significant amount of money.

 

It all just depends on the proof you can provide that you indeed were precise enough and engaged enough to provide meaningful instructions for the developers regarding the UI.

he was not precise in the slightest and gave no descriptions, no indications and no requirements other than what pages had to be done and that he wanted something ''modern''

You paid for a re-design and the addition of the back-end of a feature you wanted to add to your sales. They did what you asked for. You can ask for small revisions or changes by making a list of exactly what you want them to change. Saying ''make UI better'' is simply not acceptable.

''Amazing UI'' is not a specific description of what you want, you said you wanted a better UI, you didn't even specify the color schemes, if you wanted icons on the menus, you never said you wanted flags before the countries, these are basic things you need to state if you want the designer to do them. 

 

Having a fully working site has nothing to do with this. You hired them to redesign your website. They didn't just take your current website and change the colors. You clearly don't understand anything about design or web development (which is fine) what is not fine is that you seem to have a mistaken idea of what their job as developers is.

They told you repeatedly that your budget was too low for this and that they would prefer not to work with you because of your low budget. You accepted THEIR to-do list, which was sent before this, which included everything they would do.

 

 

You are taking pictures of small chats that don't accurately show what actually happened. In this https://i.imgur.com/fnzGqj7.png they are clearly telling you they won't do what you requested, but that they would modernize your website and re-design it to be better than your current one. At no point did they agree to your list of requirements and at no point did they confirm they would copy shifter.io or any other website you provided. 

 

''Give me a better UI'' this is more of the same. They could do everything you asked for and more and you could still use this same argument because there is no literal meaning to the sentence. What defines if a UI is good or bad is your perception. You could simply claim any UI they provide is bad and that doesn't mean that it is. 

 

I will consider this as you not wanting to pay for their work. This report is invalid because you are not giving them a list of improvements to make on the new design they gave but you demand a better UI without giving hints of what exactly you want them to improve. It looks like you want to claim their work is shit no matter what they do to change it.
