Some general WOW Questions that I have

Hey all,

I'm following PlayThatGame's Top 1,000 games. I've played 1 - 7 of the 1,000 best, so now I'm up to World of Warcraft

I have so, so, so many questions

What's the difference between WoW retail and classic? Is either better than the other?

Is there a main quest line that I can follow?

Based on what I've seen, the level cap is 60. Is this still how it works?

Finally, can the game be played as a single player experience?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Retail has every expansion and content added. Classic itself is just the original game with nothing more added.
The cap is to 60.
Can be played as a single player experience, with no instances, raids, or PVP
