I've been gambling since I was 15.

All kinds of gambling, crypto gambling, gambling mobile games, csgo cases, csgo gambling websites, irl gambling (claw machines, coin pushers, etc.) and pretty much any other type of gambling you can imagine.

Recently it's gotten out of hand, I've gambled, a LOT, I've lost, a LOT, more than I was supposed to. And I kept going because... addiction. "You know, maybe if I try three more times I'll make it back with a little profit."

It's gotten to a point where I wasn't able to take profits anymore. $50 profit? Fuck that, I'm here for the big numbers. ...The big numbers ended up being -$500 on my ledger. Almost daily.

So today I finally decided to take a step in the right direction and blocked most gambling sites I gambled on in my windows host file so that they wouldn't load anymore, even with a VPN.

I'm fully aware that this is not a permanent fix, but I'm trying to do some damage control this way. Wish me luck guys.

Become addicted to making money rather than spending it trying to make more, everything is fun in moderation but dopemine is a powerful tool that can be useful or can lead to unneeded compulsion such as sex, gambling, drugs and more.

You got this!

That's a solid step forward. Another way could be finding diversion. Flee don't fight.

Wish you all the best

If gambling has become something that's harming you more than entertaining you; it's time to step away. Good job on realizing this and taking steps to distance yourself from it. It takes a lot of self-control to do something like that. :ok:
