[Help]how to deploy asp.net webapplications to a remote server

i need some information about deploying asp.net webapps to a remote host,do we require some kinda special host . 

.php files and all we can excute in a remote host its easy to connect with the database . what about .aspx extension files will it work the same way and for my database i am using ms sql server 2008 .  

and what about wcf applications ?
