I think you should take that $15k and use refunding services ( if you don't know how yourself, if you do, even better ) to purchase GPU's to mine on. <-- this will take some research to set up

 

Then, rent out an apartment with a fixed electricity rate. And, start mining away!

I would suggest mining ETH (really popular), but you can also do coins like Monero (XMR) or RavenCoin (RVN), which are really profitable coins.

I do this as a 19 y/o and I'm running 8 RTX 3070's all in one nice little box in my guest room inside my apartment. 

I mine at ~600Mh/s which makes me rougly $20 a day which would be considered ALL profit if you purchased the setup and refunded it all.

 

Keep half the money invested, use the other half. And you basically have the 21st century version of a money tree.
