I would go with a X570 too.
You can buy one for an extra 30 bucks and then you get upgrade to ryzen 4000 without buying a new motherboard.

And yes yes, wtf 32gb of ram. Its a steal, $150 for 3600mhz.

I'm also planning on running VM's so.

Solid build! Excellent for the price. I personally prefer more IO on the case but damn does it look slick. GPU should be more than enough for your purposes
