If you have tried to grab someones IP before you know that not everyone, especially those who are more then a little tech-savvy won't just click on links that you send them in hopes of gaining their IP. This method creates a bait that is hard to resist for anyone, and immediately once that bait is taken you have the victims IP. (btw all images screenshots in imgur link)
