Everybody loves a good bolognese sauce, and here is my take on a good one.
Ingredients:
2-3 Onions
3-4 Carrots
1 can (140g) tomato pure
4 Cloves of garlic
1kg Ground Beef
2 cans of diced tomato
1 can/bottle passata
2dl Beef/veggie broth
Salt
Pepper
oregano
Start by putting a pot with oil on the stove and turn on the heat - cut the onions, carrots & garlic into small fine pieces.
Put it all in the pot when the oil is hot and add some salt and pepper, and cook it for 8-10 minutes while stiring once in a while.
Once its cooked you can go ahead and add the meat, you need to cook the meat for 10-15 minutes and remember to stir the pot.
You need to cook the meat until its not "boiling" in water and it start to fry because the water is gone.
Then you can go ahead and add the tomato pure and cook it for 1-2 minutes before adding the broth and then cook it for another 5-10 minutes.
Now you can add the diced tomatoes and the passata, and some more salt and pepper and some oregano.
Once all that is added you have to let it simmer for 3-4 hours, and remember to stir once every 10-15 minutes.
And you also need to add some water once in a while, after the 3-4 hours you have a very good bolognese
Now you can cook some pasta or spaghetti and serve it like it is or if you like it a bit creamy you can add some cream.
Leftovers can be stored 4-5 days in the fridge, and several months in the freezer
