In Topic: I need a review of my PC Part Picker list.

In case you ever want to upgrade to Ryzen 4000 in the future, i would personally go with a X570 mainboard. Other than that, I think your build is great in terms of the price/performance ratio :)

In Topic: Best places to get Serial Numbers and a POP generator?

05 April 2020 - 08:56 AM

Easy and free ways to get serial numbers with a 100% success rate:

  • Look at Amazon review pictures and see if you can find a SN
  • Look at eBay listings and search for pictures of your desired product
  • Look at listings in your local online marketplace and see if they show the SN
  • Contact sellers on your local online marketplace (such as FB Marketplace, Kijiji, craigslist etc.) and ask them if they could take a picture of the Label with the SN, since you want to "see if it's authentic" before you buy from them
  • Look at YouTube videos about your product and see if they show the SN

Once you have found the SN:

  • If you want to be safe it works, change one digit in it and check if it still counts as a valid one
  • If the SN is already registered, change up a digit as well
  • See if the SN still has warranty (e.g. if the SN starts with "17 " and the device only has warranty for 2 years then you are basically not going to get a replacement)
  • Check if you need a picture of the SN for your SE, because if you do you might need to do some photoshopping or you just take the picture you found the SN in.

How to get POP:

  • Search here on nulled for "PSD receipt pack"
  • Search on Google for receipts of the company you are going to SE and photoshop it a bit so it matches your product, but make sure the dates match up
  • Contact sellers on your local marketplace and ask them if they could send you a picture of the receipt since you want to buy it only together with a receipt

Hope this helps

In Topic: When is it safe/ not safe to use my address or info for SE ???

28 March 2020 - 06:06 PM

@xElias For advance replacement, is a drop necessary? Also I have a question about 'Empty Box.' Do you just send an actual empty box, any box, with the given label?

I'm just truly concerned about Seagate as they offered me an AR and It's my first time doing so.

Advanced replacement means a company sends out the replacement before they receive your faulty product. Depending on the company, they might tell you to keep the faulty item.

In some cases they need a credit card as a security and will charge it with a security fee, in case they dont receive the product. I don't know if Seagate does that.

I would advise you to send it to a drop address since they might not accept your empty box, if they ask for your product back.

When sending an empty box, you want it to look like it has been tampered with in transit. Of course you use a box that is appropriate for the size of the products. Look up the measurements on the companies website. Use 2 different kinds of tape to tape the box shut. Close the box with one, then cut it open and close it again with another one. You can put some bubblewrap or some packaging material inside. Make sure to not place the label on the 2nd tape. If you can drop the package off without human contact, you can damage the box a bit so it looks more legit. Since you usually get a prepaid and preweighed label for sending it back, you can drop it off empty. But again, the less human contact the better. Use a postbox or some locker to drop it off.

Good Luck  :D
