Im sorry but this is exactly how it's always been done, if you buy a netflix account with 6 months warranty, and you use it for 5 months, you dont get refunded in full after that. If the seller can't replace again, he will give you a refund for the remaining month. You used the literal only example where, if account happened to die within warranty, it would lead to a refund that is not proportional to the remaining warranty.
In every single other scenario, aside from a bank account, the refund is based on the remaining warranty. Not the price you paid.
A warranty of 14 days and product dying in 13 days does not warranty a 30% refund, let alone a full refund.
