He's 100% right, you having "we are not responsible for any misuse or abuse" in the terms won't help you in court.
Be really carefull with what you are getting yourself into, and if you do make sure you are well protected.

One of the legal examples is "haveibeenpwnd" where they don't show passwords, they just let you know if you are breached yes or no.
