Additional information : I bought SCADS lifetime version a while ago for $500. But now I don't need SCADS anymore, the panel got a new version and it is paid to get it installed (which it shouldn't be because I am a lifetime user, he didn't mention in his terms and conditions that updates would be paid) The SCADS version I am using is old and defective. I want Mezantrop to refund me the half of the total price I paid for. In exchange, I will return my license back to him.

Here is the screenshot where he told me that the second version would be free, which is a lie because it is $500 even for lifetime users..

I contacted him on Telegram, sometimes he reads my messages and doesn't even respond. I asked him for the refund and he said it's impossible.

On his sale thread, it is not even noticed that "there are no refunds"

Here are the terms and conditions of SCADS Panel (in Mezantrop's Discord Server).

 

 

It is not written that "sales are final", so I am in the right to ask for a refund.

He can remove my lifetime license, I don't need SCADS anymore.

You bought his thing which works fine, nothing wrong with it. You can't just demand a refund because you don't want it anymore.

I also want to add that the Panel got a new version and it is paid to use it (which it shouldn't be because I am a lifetime user). The SCADS version he installed for me is old and defective

And I dont "just" demand a refund. I am returning the product, of course.

@Mezantrop you told him update was free, honor your promise (unless you didn't say it was free and the image is forged) and update his version for no extra cost. Whatever you promise your customers has to be fulfilled, you cant say anything you don't plan on fulfilling in the end. If you don't want to give him an updated version for free, as you promised, you can refund him. Up to you. 

 

@BorutoOnCrack not ''needing'' the program anymore doesn't warrant a refund. If anything, you get the updated version or otherwise a refund, however this is not something you can decide, as he promised the update he will have to fulfil it and if not, he will have to refund you. This is non-negotiable.

In those screenshots, he said that it is another "version", so logically.. it's a an update.

Honestly , I prefer returning him the SCADS Panel (get my license removed) and get a refund instead of having that new update installed. I don't want to deal with SCADS anymore.

No, it's the same program (SCADS Panel) but he has made improvements on it. So logically, I call that an update.

@Mezantrop considering he claims the old version is not working, if you ''updated'' SCADS, he is required to receive the updated version too. If it were working, and it were a newly made program, completely recoded, I would understand your point, but if the program you sold to him is no longer working and you made an upgraded version, you have to provide him with the upgraded version.

By ''old and defective'' you mean it's no longer working as intended? or is it not performing as you would expect? I re-read your posts, and you said it's old and defective but that doesn't mean much, as long as the program works as advertised he doesn't have to upgrade you or do anything for you for that matter.

When he told me on Telegram "Yes, it will be free. After its release, it will be updated for every ifetime user upon request", he talked about that update to "Max Speed". but some days after, I think he changed his mind and took the decision to make the update paid for no reasons...
