Hi guys,

 

Bit of a random one.. I run my own none profit mental health charity in the uk, I won't name it for obvious reasons including the nature of these forums however.. if you need a chat regardless who you are etc.

 

I'm not a professional just a normal down to earth guy that's here for a chat if anyone needs it. I've been in a really dark place myself and managed to get past it so I know how it feels.

 

I've lost 4 friends to suicide in the past 3 years so this is something really close to home for me.

 

Sorry if this ins't allowed but literally you have no idea how many people are suffering in silence.. I have multiple people a day reach out to me who've never spoken to someone before and they say it's changed their life just speaking about it and letting it out.

But yeah.. I was a bit of a dick when I was younger (10+ years ago) And try to be a better person these days. I don't think most of us know how lucky we actually are.. We've been born on the right side of life and things could be so much worse.

 

I don't do anything for recognition, never have.. I give money to family's at local food banks once a month or so (Not loads, about £50-£100 to 2-3 different familys) What annoys me is seeing this youtubers and stuff all over facebook with stuff like "I have a homeless man £50" Just do it and don't degrade him by posting him on the internet   Only person who's known I've done that are a close friend I've told and my partner and the family's I've given money too. 

 

I'm far from rich.. But my family's happy (Been with my partner 10 years have 2 amazing kids who are getting to double digits in age) What more could I ask for? That's another thing.. People are so shocked when my kids hold the door for people or always say please and thank you.. "They're so well behaved" That's the society we live in these days unfortunately though.

 

I've got around a 5k bank roll as I've been doing "Matched betting" as a full time earning since Jan or Feb so make a decent living off it, I've also just bought Bob's ebook so looking at getting some refunds done (Only reason I've not mentioned the name of my charity as I normally would so people can use the live chat anonymously)

You cannot put a price on a life at the end of the day... When you think that an hour of your time could literally save someone from killing themselves.. Not something I like to talk about but I've attempted suicide before and it's a really narrow state of mind that cannot be explained unless you've been there yourself, you don't see the people who love you or any of the positives of life you just see the negatives and you're minds dead set.. Especially if you're stubborn like me lol.

 

Two things!:

 

1. Whoever bought me VIP thank you very much you lovely person! But there was no need I was going to buy it once I had my 1st successful refund anyways   

 

2. I've had someone add me and ask about how they can help / can they donate money.. 

 

Thing's you can do to help:

 

• Reach out to your friends.. Might sound soppy as hell but literally post a thing on Facebook if you use it again something letting your friends now you're there for a chat if they need you (This is what I did before I started the charity and I had NINE people come to me... NINE) one of them was seriously thinking about suicide and sent me the picture of all the pills they had bought that day.. I legit think I saved his life that day.
• If it's money you'd like to help with.. Try find out where your local Food bank is and give it a visit rather than giving it to a charity imo as they take a massive % of the profits most the time and lot's gets "lost" in costs etc, however! try watch around and blend in for 20 mins first see who you think is legit there and in real dire need of help.. There's family's who go that are LOADED and they do it to save money... You'll actually get a feel of happiness when you do it if you're anything like me also    Seeing what it's actually doing to lives especially near Christmas where people cannot afford to get stuff for their kids etc.. Try not to give large amounts to homeless people on the street unless you know they're homeless also around 80% of them are fake and do it for a living but live in better houses than any of us.. (I'll write an example at the bottom of this post) - IF and only IF  You'd still like me to do it of course I'd be willing but I won't be going back to the food bank till just before Christmas.
• However this was never made to raise funds etc it's more of an awareness thing.. Kind of a pass it along kindness thing.. If you see someone in need just try help. Having no money isn't an excuse.. A chat can help, or even something as simple as a kind comment... help a person with their bags get onto the bus.. Such a simple task can really change someone's outlook on life.. Imagine being the reason someone's smiling for the rest of the day because you did something that took you 5-10 seconds..

• If you're uncomfortable speaking to people feel free to give them my Discord so they can have a chat with me.
• If anyone's good at graphics work, may need some more graphics made in the future. Already have a banner, flyers and a website but it's nice to change it up now and again!

Someone added me on Discord last night just as I was going to bed so I stayed online to speak to them.... An hour and a half later they said they were "trolling" and just wanted to see wht I'd say...  And started making fun of the idea of people opening up and stuff... It's crap like this that makes people hide stuff and actually go on to commit suicide.. 

 

What's wrong with people?  

 

Some people need to wake up and come back to reality just because you're on a computer it doesn't make anything less real..
