Other than a VPN what else do I need to stay protected when cracking? Do I need to do it in a sandboxie (that protects you from viruses when you open software inside it, right?) I'm abit of a noob yes I understand but before I do anything I want to know all the ways I can stay protected. Thanks!

Get rdp, sandboxie, vpn and HQ proxies for checkers. Most importantly you need a good ol' tinfoil hat for maximum safety.
