I actually got my monitor on sale for $90 this past black friday, and honestly, I'd still recommend it at its current price. I also included windows just so I could see exactly how much I spent on my build, lol

Keep that $40 and SE some shit, flip it. Til you get to the desired amount you want to spend on the Laptop. From there, get it refunded, pay refunder, keep the left over cash.

Alternatively, you could offer some type of service such as Graphic Design or Coding to the site + charge monies.
