They'll Never Find My Stash
I've been thinking about this for a while. It seems the recent 10k jump synchronized with a hit on US stock markets. The 20k climb a couple years backed was, however, in line with general growth in USD/US Stocks.
Many people think that the USD is going to off itself in the coming years - Is BTC a place to hold your money?

In the long term BTC will be fine but it definitely won't thrive during a global recession. When people are needing to buy food the first thing they're going to sell is the magic internet money on their phone. Even big investors will be trying to hedge as hard as they can, but that doesn't involve pouring cash into btc.
