Are you sure the driver loses out? Multiple posts have said that the driver doesn’t lose out.
Yes, I asked an driver on Reddit and he told me that they do cut their payements because lot of drivers either stole the food or carelessly delivered to random peeps.
I know people won't believe me if I simply say it that's why I attached a reddit thread as proof.

i've had the same driver multiple times though and they've never said anything to me and I asked on Reddit and someone said nah they dont cuz they mark it delivered.

Do you think maybe it varies according to the country? All the reports on Reddit are only from USA delivery guys .

Yeah I’m in the UK. Gotta be I’ve been doing it a LOT and never had a driver come n ask me why I said it never came.
