I made the opposite experience. I used FF for years and would still be using it if it could handle a lot of open tabs better. At times I have more than 1000 tabs open at the same time and FF could not handle more than 200-300 at the same time without crashing. Chrome seems to have a better ram handling routine since I can open up to 2000 without problems (and much faster). I would love to still be able to use FF because I like it (and all the add-ons) much more than the much more "basic" chrome but since FF abandoned most of its add-ons when they upgraded to FF 57 (quantum) I don't see myself switching back anytime soon.
