you cannot fake one because they verify it with the shipping company itself. best is to threaten them to make a police report so they know you are not joking around.
a police report is very useless for you because the cops will not/never actually investigate the lost package because they have more important actions to do.

They told me that they can't contact shipping company that's why I faked investigation, already got refund. it was on ebay btw.
