Yes, You definitely can. These gift cards are not carded, so there is no risk posed. You can definitely use the same account for any purchases you want to make in the future.

Pretty sure I know what hes doing probably hes going into stores and removing the security sticker then he copies the code puts a new zebra security strip on then he keeps checking everyday till its activated. Still its convenient to have someone else do this for you.
