Hey everyone!
A little background of the tool. Tonight I was bored so I decided to create a fairly simplistic tool which resets your "HwProfileGuid" (a registry key which is supposed to be your "hardware ID" however this isn't definitive for a few reasons which I'll cover later later). This key can be found at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\IDConfigDB\Hardware Profiles\0001".
Now as I previously mentioned, although this is technically your "hardware ID" this doesn't necessarily mean it will get you unbanned on certain applications if you've been HWID banned. This is because a hardware ID consists of a variety of components installed in your computer, both software and hardware. Ergo, I cannot say that this tool will work for your personal intended use, however it works in the sense that it changes the hardware ID key.
Features currently included:
- Ability to view HWID
- Ability to reset HWID to a randomly generated 4 digit number
Upcoming Features:
- View original hardware ID
- View previously generated HWID's
- Generate custom HWID's
- Save HWID's
- Prevent duplicates
- Change other component ID's
Any problems or queries let me know in this thread or pm me. Thank you.
