Would a business be able to ask for your real details from a reshipping company?

A re-ship company all depends on there needs and privacy policy, some companies can release infomation to authorities some cant.
Some companies ask for I.D. upon shipping, this is to identify yourself. So in-case of a huge bill, they will tell the company that soo and soo from this address is doing this!
A re-ship is not an alternative option from a drop. Maybe with some companies yes / no!
