What/How to learn Reverse Engineering.

I am not an IT or Computer Science guy, I just self learning about the field just for curiosity. I taught myself basics of Linux, some coding, and previously I just got curious about reverse engineering so I read a book on Assembly (just some basics) then I downloaded a dissambler/debugger, tried some simple crackmes. Just trying to solve simple crackmes like putting some breakpoints and luckily solving the program. 

 

Can someone provide me guidelines/tools or books. I want to learn more but I don't know which steps to take.
