A Ledgar for cold storage is probably the best in my humble opnion. It is said that although Coinbase and sites alike could be seen as safe but for some reason if they where to ever go bankrupt they can just use your money and lock you out of your account like we have seen in the past with smaller websties. The only problem is if you buy a ledgar it is cold storage and if you lose your ledgar whatever money you have on that bad boy is essentially gone. There was a story a while back on how someone lost their ledgar on their boat and a bunch of money was just gone like that. Just do your research and see which best fits your needs and your situation.

Perhaps the most secure way to store cryptocurrency offline is via a paper wallet. A paper wallet is a cold wallet that you can generate off of certain websites. It then produces both public and private keys that you print out on a piece of paper.

Bullshit. Simply backup your seed phrase and you will be able to restore your wallet on your new Ledger (or any other supported wallet, such as Electrum) in case you lose it.
