Asking here as I'm not sure what to do or if this is even considered a scam.

So, OP posted a giveaway for an Origins account with Fifa 22 and battlefield 2042, and gained likes and potentially rep for it (not sure) but anyhow, I won the giveaway and received the account which had the games and everything seemed fine. Turns out the transactions for the 2 pre orders were still pending and processing, which again, I thought its fine until I recently received a email stating that 1 of the payments failed and to update the billing method. Assuming this will happen for the other soon enough.

Assuming that this is carded and the other game fails (seems likely after the first just did), what do I consider this as? It's a giveaway that I won so I never 'paid' for anything but it was still a dishonest scheme to gain likes and rep which surely is against the rules.

should i make a scam report with OP or is this a case of just leaving negative rep. appreciate any help.

you got it for free, he can just say he got it from somewhere else and its not his fault. no use

Not sure you read literally anything I said. I dont care that I got it for free, that's irrelevant. The point is that his 'giveaway' got him free likes and rep only for it to all be staged. Pretty scummy way to gain rep as people use rep on this website to identify if someone is trusted. How is someone like that trusted.

That's a shitty thing to do, did you try to contact the giveaway owner?

I don't think a scam report is the solution because it was a giveaway and maybe he didn't knew, if it's a pattern you defiantly should report this.
