So I've seen on a different website that people are offering accounts for marketplaces such as eBay. However, those accounts need to be ID verified and I was wondering how people get away with faking an ID? Is it not illegal to fake the image of an ID or passport to sign up on a marketplace? As long as you keep paying your taxes when you get paid to your real bank account, is it okay to submit a fake ID to the marketplace? I am confused. I don't want to do anything illegal but it just confuses the shit out of me.

How do others get back on eBay when they get suspended on their original account that they opened using their real info? Some people say that submitting a fake ID to eBay is not illegal because it isn't the authorities + you get paid to your real bank account and continue to pay taxes so you aren't hiding anything from the authorities per se. But it seems questionable.
