This will most likely not work, especially if it´s a real product like Airpods. They can just ask for the product back and if you don´t return it to them, you basically did a breach of contract. Return policys regulate such stuff and they say that in order to void a contract you have to return the item within a time window if no expections have been made. You can ofc try FTID, but it´s basically just an illegal refund then. Also the rule "This includes a child under the age of 18, has the legal right to void the contract and get a refund." doesn´t count for all countries. In a lot of countries you are already allowed to do some contracts with 7 (normal buys at stores, which basically is also a contract) and by the time you get older, some Countries also allow you to sign a mobile data contract. Those are often based on Prepaid but they are also contracts.
