I'm still young and I'm taking up Computing and History as my optional subjects but I am worrying about my future. Before quarantine, I chosen as an ambassador of my year as I worked hard and got amazing results on my tests but tbh it was easy and I'm just wondering how much harder is University and how much work and dedication you need to put in.

It depends on the degree and the university. I recommend you to ask directly people who study what you want.

I've talked to many people on the r/physics subreddit and they basically say that if you truly want the profession and like what you are studying then you won't even feel like studying. You will want to learn more so studying would be like quenching your thirst for certain knowledge which certainly is for me. So it's just a matter of how much you like the subject you are studying.

Factors that make college "harder".

1) Teachers and courses can be taught incompetently. I often find studying online from Udemy, or youtube way better. Especially since it's CHEAPER than paying for a degree.

2) The student has poor knowledge on the main language being used to convey knowledge.

3) The student does not have the right mindset to effectively get the most out of college. e.g. Laziness, not active enough to ask questions

4) Depression. More shit will be in your face. Group assignments? More like solo assignments. Pros is you learn the most from soloing. Ideally everyone works together, but this itself is a challenge.

Honestly dude, I think the difficulty of college depends on how much you like what you are doing. Ofcourse, there are other factors but it won't outweigh what I've mentioned above. I'm 2nd year into medical technology and there's alot to memorize but I like it, everyday seems like a new adventure.
