Why do people vape?

TITLE CHANGE: Why is vaping in highschool so popular in the US?

 

I would understand people who have an addiction to smoking converting to e-cigs, but I don't understand why you would want to develop an addiction that you know you're going to get addicted to. So any high schoolers or whatever. (I'm from the UK) why did you start vaping, do you want to quit? And also I would like to know why it is so common in the US compared to the UK. Thanks for your time

Because its "cool" and trendy. I smoked cigarettes in high school sine it was "cool" I never liked it or enjoyed the buzz, but also I never got addicted. I never felt the urge/need to smoke but I smoked a few times a day usually before/after school with friends. as soon as HS ended and I got a job away from my friends I never smoked again, legit I never bought a pack as I had no reason too. I never got why I didn't get addicted maybe just because I did not enjoy the feeling the gave me. I was just light headed and felt spacey for like 10 min after.

 

As why they vape its the same thing, Some people do like the feeling it gives you and they vape for that reason and some just want to fit in. Also there is a thing I read about where people like to see the smoke come out of their mouth. Like its relaxing for them to vape just due to watching the smoke/doing tricks and stuff. Some even vape juice with no nicotine due to not liking that part but they enjoy the process of vaping.

Inhaling anything into your lungs poses a threat to the body. Smoke from anything even weed is not good for the lungs. Smoking/vaping anything over time can cause health issues including cancer. there is other things to worry about other than just cancer too. things like COPD

That's obvious, but i say not abusing it, just once a week or once a day prevents you to smoke cigarretes...
