Is it actually worth picking up clash of clans again?

 

I used to play it a couple of years ago and I remember that I had lots of fun.

 

Was there any big updates that make the game interesting again?

Yeah. still is go on. More THs, new units, reduce costs of building stuff etc. Clan based events that offer rewards now.

 

All it is you got to find the right clan and have the right members to keep the clan going or else it gets bored. My clan wars 3 times a week, then we do war league tournaments and clan games to get rewards to improve your base. 

 

they also offer season passes like most new games nowadays to make $$$$.

The game is okay for a month or two, as long you have friends that are in your clan. I built up a clan with a bunch of school friends and we had so much fun. Make sure you don't burn yourself out by constantly by grinding because my whole friend group fell out after 2 months of heavy grinding. Especially while keeping track of four accounts.
