It's basically Java for .NET.

There are many youtube tutorials on how to learn it, the indian guys are the best ;)

easiest way is to just get visual studio and try to make a bunch of ambitious programs

 

any time you don't know how to do something, google it and find out

Yeah, the studio environment is the first place to start. I think its free now.

Lots of tutorials on you tube.

Note that Microsoft Studio handles multiple languages such as #C C++ VB and java. I think it has extensions for developing for IOS as well.

If you eventually want to tie in databases, it direct supports SQL server and with add ons other servers as well.
