sure you can give it a try!
thanks man!
Kali really isn't that secure anyway, it's just a linux distro with some preinstalled pen testing tools. I recommend Whonix as your operating system, a VM can be secure depending on the host computer. If the host is windows it isn't going to be as secure. I recommend using either Whonix, Tails, Arch, Debian or Qubes. With Arch and Debian you have to manually lock them down.
Best answer here, I was just about to type all this.
Haha thanks bro. Also do you know if on that Devine windows version I can just upgrade from my current version without losing files? I tried to use setup.exe but it did give me some error but the usb booted fine. I think I have to clean install right?
I don't think you can upgrade, you need to clean install, but you can save your files on other partition and just format C drive, you will just have to reinstall the programs or games you have.
I would advise against protonvpn and suggest Mullvad. You can set up a VM in debian or a linux distro of your choice to give it a try.
I did so much research on VPNs and protonvpns seems the best one, why would you say mullvad is better
Honestly all vpns are bad, they all claim not to log but there is no way we can confirm this. If you are willing to pay I'd say use a self hosted vpn. But Mullvad is allegedly no-logging and is commonly used by people in the privacy community.
if the VPN is not based in the so called "14 eyes" & it's rated good then nordvpn and protonvpn are pretty good since they are not based in one of those countries. would like your opinion on this. I am not too invested into this. so I rather just use a vpn. and Sweden is based in the 14 eyes zone so Mullvad seems like a bad idea. but let me know
14 eyes isn't a big issue, NordVPN had a big data breach not long ago and they just covered it up without even telling user to change info. I recommend self-hosting though, it is really easy. Just use an OpenVPN install script on a vps.
aye bro really appreciate yourself, I;m not very experienced in this space. 1 had one more question do you have kali tools/can you install kali tools in whonix. don't want to bother you too much but there is not so much clear info out there.
Np, Kali is simply a toolkit with different softwares on it used by pentesters. All those softwares can be installed via command line. I recommend you setup debian securely and then just secure it though.
yea ik now what kali is just wondering if whonix the OS has the same tools and stuff
