So is there anything I can do to minimize them tracking the laptop such as a dban or flashing OS / wiping it? I chargebacked so I can’t really return atp, and it looks like it’s going to be at least a month or so before the merchant (walmart) responds. This is my first SE and I don’t want to have to wait until october to use this laptop just to have my claim denied.

Your just overthinking this. Probably safe to turn on the laptop since you didn't buy directly from manufacturer. This is only true for Macbooks as far as I am aware.

I'm trying to SE a xbox one x on amazon.ca I've just received the package and the carrier took a picture of the front house and the package at the door.

How should I go about this?

Should I wait 2 days or directly doing it after towers 9 - 10pm and claiming I was working and wasn't there to intercept the package?

Any of you have experience with this type of situation or tips that could help me?

I personally think it would be better to FTID/LIT the package instead of trying to DNA it since the driver took a picture. Don't have much refunding experience though.
