Very educative comment, thank you my brethrenTake a peek of a good chunk of C# tutorial. should be an hour or two of reading to finish, by then you've learned more and will reinforce your understanding overall. Whatever you learn is transferable.
Programming concepts are transferable; Once you learn all there is to know about object-oriented programming and functional C-like programming, you'll be jumping into a new language asking things like "what is the class/constructor syntax". Easy to find the answer when you know what you're looking for.
Sometimes when you go further into abstraction and learn Python for example you can learn some built in things that are actually beginner/intermediate level things for C++. For example, Lists are a built-in data type in Python but are just linked lists behind the scenes. Which is something that is very handy as a teaching tool for beginner C++ students. If you learned that lists in python are linked lists behind the scenes, you can code in C++ already. What you want to do, you can easily find out how to do it in another language. Maybe this is only an imagination of people who started with C++.
In conclusion, learn C# basics; it will reinforce you're current understanding, but be humble because there's always more to learn. Also, GUI may be easier in C# don't quote me.
