Hear me out on this. 

I bought 50 'high quality' google reviews from an user for 15$ per review, this was posted on the company I work for. We communicated via Whatsapp. It was necessary then because the company was review bombed by another company, google took its time to remove those fake reviews.

The person sold these reviews with warranty, they all disappeared after 3 months so we obviously opened a scam report 'cus he refused to refund or replace. 

User gets banned, looks me up on linkedin and spams all companies I worked for with negative reviews  

I didn't mind it, his reviews didn't stick + the companies understood that this is just another way of phishing. The company I work for had their google profile removed, it will be appealable but it's a hassle. 

For this reason, whether the identity is known or unknown, I feel like review services should be forbidden or the user should be very highly rep so they can't abuse these reviews if they get banned. 

A negative review costs no more than 2$; a 'quality' positive review costs 15$, the huge difference in effort makes it very easy for people to get hassled by review providers. 

What do you guys think? 

And just like anything in life, It is void in some situations, You cant break a phone yourself with a hammer and expect to get a warranty from a manufacturer after claiming it broke just because you didnt ask for the TOS. Pretty much the same with any other service, If the buyer had not gotten reviews from any other source, Or gotten reviews droped from the google maps update I would have been happy to replace, just as I do with all of my clients. But taking into consideration what I saw on his listing, and the fact that he decided to open a scam report months after after we discussed this in chat, makes me believe he's just trying to get some money out of me, which will not happen. 

 

I can offer him a replacement of half of what was posted in the first place as a way of compensate his loss. This would be under my TOS which he will be informed of before hand to avoid any kind of misscomunication. If that's not enough for him then I guess there's nothing much to discuss.

I did not break any TOS, if you had these to begin with. 

The regular user asked me 3-4$ per review, you asked me 3x so much, for that reason obviously I expected more quality. Considering you also mentioned warranty, I assumed you were worth it. I can't let you get away with giving back 50% of what I paid for, I want that which I paid for or a refund...

I don't know what you mean with this, you seem to have an internal dialogue that I'm not aware of. The scam report is opened because suddenly, all the reviews you posted disappeared yesterday.

I would propose following to solve the dispute:

1. You offer lifetime warranty, I ask 1 year minimum warranty and you replace all the reviews that are gone and guarantee them for 1 year. 

2. You refund everything, not 50%; not replace 50%. It's not what I paid for. 

I'm confused, so you have a listing that says you offer lifetime warranty, but this only applies to the first 3-4 days after reviews are posted? That's very misleading. If the listing says lifetime warranty the reviews should stick forever, unless he manually deleted them or the location on google maps was removed (in which case I would understand not providing warranty) but if they actually got removed by google, then the warranty should apply.

Bought 353.71 EUR worth or reviews, user promised they'd stick, they're all gone within a few months. User refuses warranty and says:

"You're the first person that has ever thought that reviews will legitimately stick forever on a listing"

Then why mention it on the thread?... 

not gonna say which sport duh but its a combat sport and i won an european championship gold this month, really happy about it 

got rewarded with 15k before tax, really dull reward compared to other countries but we can't complain

On the visible on every page I thought about something you could decide to open and close, like a small toggle on the bottom right-hand side of the page, nothing too visible

 

It's true that when a few people start talking it becomes messy, the lack of contrast between messages does not help also and when you have like 5 Nova users, you cannot really differentiate them...

Ah yes, that would be nice, a toggle type of screen is a good idea. I do see that if you don't reload the screen, you lose connection to the shoutbox so I think that'll be hard to implement. 

You really can't differentiate anything and perhaps you should have a log of mentions so that you can look back a bit so u dont miss any mentions? 

let's not forget this is a black hat forum where illegal activities happen, you actually run quite a risk not using a vpn, letalone confirming your ID to the forum staff. 

 

The shoutbox is very useful and adds a lot of character to the website, allowing users to interact with eachother.

 

However it lacks a lot of features that could be interesting :

• Making it visible on every page (like a small window that you could toggle if you don't want it but that you can open to talk with people while posting).
• Adding some awards specially for the shoutbox, in order ton encourage its use.
• Improve the UI/UX of the shoutbox (although I am not really sure of how we could do it, but I am sure a big part of the community could help on this)

 

Making it visible on every page I would have to disagree with, I like the functionality as it is now.

Perhaps it's an idea to create a delay once a certain amount of users are online, it gets very hectic once 5 people start talking

Improvements are always welcome

No good experience for me, accounts get locked within the week and considering you pay quite a high price for the account, it's not worth it. 

I'm interested, added you. 

The easiest and most straightforward store I've used for these type of things, definitely a recommendation.
