glad you didnt fall for it, its a smart technique but judging from his replies and grammar you can smell the bullshit a miles away

its pretty similar to indian tech scam

I realised it when he mentioned discord, I know steam doesn't use discord so I finally woke up there lmao

I just thought I would share this new scam which is going on. At least I think it's new, I haven't been a subject to this before.
But again I haven't been active for several months, yet it seems this is quite new.

Some random guy will add you on discord, saying that he accidently reported you on Steam ( with pictures ), claiming that
you're at risk of getting banned. So to avoid so you'll have to add a "Steam Moderator" on discord, to avoid this situation
to escelate. Quite clever actually if you think about it. However Steam does not use discord at all, for providing support.
And users may fall for this, because of panic.
