Is this config just for viaplay?

Like everyone else is mentioning, Windows OS is always preferred as I would assume most professor are also Windows based OS and also the software installation is always easy in Windows compared to Mac OS.

 

As long as the CPU is i5 or i7 (Higher than 9th gen), 16GB (8GB is okay depending on running small to medium coding projects), and more than 256GB SSD (128GB is alright if you are planning to just use the laptop for school only, but that will change since you will begin adding your own personal software for your usage). This should give you an idea of a perfect laptop that fits you for your personal and school lifestyle.   

I ended up purchasing a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 pro R7! Its a very sleek and nice looking laptop with an amazing keyboard (my preference ofc)! Great for the pricepoint and filled all the criteria of 16gb ram 512gbssd. Really all i need for my program

Honestly seeing this one I regret my purchase. But then again I love the huge copper heat pipe on my laptop when I don't use my main overpowered PC lma

Np XD! Ive looked into them since they are the most recommended but they are a bit more expensive and most of the used ones I looked at were really beat up!

Go For HP XPS series,  they are amazing, Laptop medium you can take it everywhere also it's fast anyway see its configurations, its perfect

Typically I look for gaming laptops as they tend to have better specs for less price. the office brands give bad specs at higher prices, cause office people.

 

Only issue is battery use is faster than normal. But they won't ever let you down in processing speed. Good alternative for macbook.

Macbooks in Sweden for the most part are all above $1100

Im enrolling in uni in a few months and going the computer science route. Since I will be doing most of my work in school im looking for a good laptop for running code and such. Based on what ive read online the macbooks are the go-to due to the m1 and/or m2 chip being so superior but I don't have the budget for that. So anyone have any recommendations?
