I understand what you're saying but the part that you don't understand yourself is that you are bound by what your listing says, time passing doesn't just eliminate your responsibility, with your logic, a lifetime warranty product that lasts for more than 2 days has no more warranty because it should be fine, the warranty is made for the cases when it isn't. The ruling must always come from facts, and the fact in this case is that your listing has an offer for lifetime warranty, who would imagine that it would not be covered when it's needed? This is what warranty is for, this is the whole point of buying from people that advertise having a warranty, you hope you never need it and hope that when you do, it's dealt with promptly. Why else would your listing say there is a warranty if when a customer comes and tries to claim it you blame literally every single thing in life as a possible cause for the warranty to be voided?

Just like anything in life, warranty should be available if it was advertised on the listing.

And just like anything in life, It is void in some situations, You cant break a phone yourself with a hammer and expect to get a warranty from a manufacturer after claiming it broke just because you didnt ask for the TOS. Pretty much the same with any other service, If the buyer had not gotten reviews from any other source, Or gotten reviews droped from the google maps update I would have been happy to replace, just as I do with all of my clients. But taking into consideration what I saw on his listing, and the fact that he decided to open a scam report months after after we discussed this in chat, makes me believe he's just trying to get some money out of me, which will not happen.

I can offer him a replacement of half of what was posted in the first place as a way of compensate his loss. This would be under my TOS which he will be informed of before hand to avoid any kind of misscomunication. If that's not enough for him then I guess there's nothing much to discuss.

Your explanation is totally valid if you chose to offer no warranty, but that is not the case. You are explaining how it works but nobody forced you to offer that lifetime warranty, nobody forbid you from editing your thread where you mentioned the lifetime warranty, and these are the facts. Using your logic, I can offer lifetime warranty for anything, and then say after 2 weeks that there is no more warranty because the company changed the behavior. The warranty that applies is the warranty offered at the time of transacting. If you sold to him under those terms, those are the terms of your transaction. If you changed your thread 2 weeks after selling to him, to say you won't offer any warranty, the warranty would still apply to his transaction because it applied at the time of transacting. Same if you did the exact opposite, and offered no warranty but after 2 weeks decided to offer a warranty, the warranty would not apply because it was not available at the time of transacting.

I cant be held liable for anything that happens on a listing a month after I've finished my service, Let alone 6 months after its finished, Its not something that does not fluctuate over time and its something that its constantly changing, We're not talking about a 2 week change of my terms because I wanted to scam the buyer, Its a 6 months ago transaction from a post from 2020.

I think you missed this,

After doing some quick research on his listing, You can see this on his most recent reviews,

https://imgur.com/zn46HTN

Keep in mind the reviews I posted, were posted 5 months ago, no way a person who is going to check reviews is going back to 5 months ago to check a company rating, So If my reviews were posted 5 months ago, And I dont know how long ago they got deleted according to the buyer, What reviews is this person reffering to? This is exactly what I mean.

So again, If he hires my service am I to be held liable forever for his listing?

I'm confused, so you have a listing that says you offer lifetime warranty, but this only applies to the first 3-4 days after reviews are posted? That's very misleading. If the listing says lifetime warranty the reviews should stick forever, unless he manually deleted them or the location on google maps was removed (in which case I would understand not providing warranty) but if they actually got removed by google, then the warranty should apply.

I have a posted thread from 2020 That does say Lifetime, however that was when Lifetime was regularly offered. Keep in mind google maps keeps changing the way the work and the way the algorithm works to detect reviews. For the post that is completely my fault, I know I should have updated it and intend to do so as it can be quite misleading to people who are new to GMB reviews.

when asked about warranty from any client, I regularly offer 1 month of warranty for my reviews as I know that if they dont get deleted within the first 3-4 days of posted they will most likely not get deleted Under regular circumstances, Again, most people who work with google reviews know this and are okay with it. As 1 month is actually more than regular sellers offer.

Its not a matter of black or white, Its a matter of gray, He could have posted reviews from some other vendor in the last 6 months that could have caused the reviews to drop, That is something that is out of my controll and that I cannot foresee,  in the last 5 months google has changed their policies and have become a lot more strict with the way reviews get added so he could have easily have added reviews on the listing from low quality and have the listing be flagged by them, and google reviews deleted.  If that were the case, which could be , considering he has very low activity for the past months, should I be liable for anything he does on his listing? that doesnt seem reasonable to me, As I offer a reviews service, not a Google my business management service of any kind.

Even if I were to offer a replacement, There's no guarantee that the reviews would stick, As mentioned before, the entire state of GMB system has changed and reviews can stick on some listings and cannot on some others. And If they were to stick, Does that mean that I have to replace them eternally if they do drop after a month or two?

Edit: After doing some quick research on his listing, You can see this on his most recent reviews,

First of all I dont acknowledge the ammount as I have no clue how much he paid and he has not posted the payment proof.

This was already discussed 2 months ago on which I explained to him what happened.

https://imgur.com/a/gKRSkOi

To give you some context, I'm speaking on my knowledge of how google maps service works, What i'm sharing is what I have learned on years of experience working on this line of business and is in no way definitive or conclusive information on how google maps internally works,  Google throws an update once or twice a year to lower GMB owners listings rating, There's a reason you dont see many GMB listings with 5000 5 stars reviews, I assume google does this to keep business owners on their toes consistently asking for GMB reviews. This last year Google has been doing an update on the platform and they have done so far about 3-4 updates, Making most of reviews Drop, not just fake ones, Real ones also.

This person complained about this about 2 months ago, I explained him, My warranty is that reviews stick outside of any major update event, Which is something that I cannot controll. The warranty that I give is that they're of the highest quality possible (Unique IP adddress, Aged Gmail) and in some cases Different MAC address as well.

When reviews are done not following the proper method to make them stick, They deleted in a time spam of 2-4 days, because google marks them as SPAM content, Once my reviews stay for over a week I know they have succesfully stuck and passed this kind of trial

.

Yes, My thread says lifetime warranty, Which is something that I'm at fault for, My thread was created on 2020 and It has never occurred to me that nowadays, with the current state of GMB a person would take that at word as everyone who does this and gets GMB reviews knows how google usually operates. I will be changing my thread and edit that so there's no more confusion.

I asked OP if he had any "real review" drop to what he states not a single real review has droped, Which is why I know he's under complete denial, as most definitively "real" reviews have droped from his listing, Considering when I started he was consistently getting negative reviews from real customers and now when I checked on his listing he has about 6 reviews in the past 5 months.

I cannot provide a refund as the service was fulfilled at the time, He got exposure for the positive google reviews for months, which is what he wanted and I dont think I can provide a replacement as I think he has triggered a GMB audit considering he hasnt received many reviews in the past months, Which leads me to believe reviews are not sticking on his listing anymore because of this. (I have no idea if someone else has worked on his listing before)

IMO OP went broke and is trying to get some money, We discussed this months ago and I explained how everything works, If he had a problem with that he could have opened the scam report then.

Additional Information: I asked for a SCAN on july 6 and the seller made me wait weeks only to tell me he couldnt do it as we agreed, After talking to him he said I should change what I'm doing, we switched to a Boxing method which is cheaper, Refused to refund the difference and for the boxing method he's now making stuff up again.

Genuinely wasting my time, Have already wasted 3 weeks / 21 days on something that should have been done within a single day, The seller is refusing profusely to give me a refund and only giving me store credit which I dont want it, Because he's clearly having trouble with the way hes working and I dont have the time nor the patience to deal with his BS. A time frame was specified for things to get done and I expect nothing less.
