Others do not work because they are not updated, as anyone can see that the post was not edited in years.

Hello, sorry for the late response. I actually did try to do this, but never could figure it out, I'm sorry to say.

Why would you need to backport it? When you can use Hermes to scale the API to classic and use the latest RXP. 

It would have to be backported so it can be used on the 3.3.5 client and servers such as Warmane. I never heard of Hermes, that's a new one to me.

Hermes is a App that scales the API to classic API.
